Star City (album track one)

Ambient track...

Inspired by the RPM Challenge

http://www.rpmchallenge.com/content/view/844/1/

to create a whole album this month:

My AS-606 hasn't arrived in the mail yet...

www.possecrewensemble.com/as606/

so this was a challenge...

Actually here I'm trying to do largely ambient tracks but keeping them moving and @ a manageable length. Also, each track will merge into the next.

There are no beats here but there will be beats later.

It is a challenge to get all this done quickly, this is a new thing for me and so far I am enjoying it!

Rave Invaders

The Prodigy vs the Prodigy &glitches.

Like a lot of ppl, I wasnt too thrilled by the latest tunes from the Prodge. (or anything from the last 10 years from Liam besides the Dirtchamber Sessions and frankly I did not even like Fat of the Land.)

So I had some loops and pieces from "Experience" laying around (as used on that Rough Sex mix or whatever I called it)

...so I quickly them together with "Invaders Must Die" and some glitching

145bpm, hardcore you know the score.

no apologies for the quality or lack thereof.

<itunes:summary>The Prodigy vs the Prodigy &glitches.

145bpm, hardcore you know the score.

no apologies for the quality or lack thereof.</itunes:summary>

Apollo 8 (Live from the Moon)

Re-recorded, had some nasty compression on the original. Plus I re-eq'd, changed the tune around too. Added more chatter and ambient bits esp @ the end, now it includes the Bible verses.

quick track, more like a demo. More straightfoward for me. Playing w/the Yamaha RS7000, recorded live (well, live sequencing if such a thing exists) I love tunes (esp from the 90's) with old Apollo program samples. Apollo 8 had the best soundbites for me (including the reading from the Book of Genesis, not included here) and we've just passed the 40th anniversary of its flight, so here. Will try and do some fcked up hardcore and ambient mixes later.

1 new original tune. will try and and 1 of these every 2 weeks. operative word: try.

this one is MicroKorg and lots of digital wankery. its more melodic and more good old fashioned drill 'n' bass. like I'm 10 years late to the party. actually its spazzcore geekstep.

it goes from 105.6 to 156bpms, good for DJ's. ok it isn't good for dj's.
